I went off of spiro for about 2 months. (my doc wanted to check my hormone levels off drugs.) what a nightmare! My hair fell out in handfulls - and hasn't grown back, and the facial hair was 3X worse. Now that I've been back on for about 6 months, the facial hair has decreased significantly and the shedding has slowed down considerably. I only started spiro for hair loss though, not for the facial hair. Even though it wasn't great, there are other ways of dealing with that. good luck.
