Hi Gloria,
While it is sad to have a pgy lost, but I have several remarks on the facts you have described.
1. You most probably stopped ov testing after day 15 or so. Therefore your ovulation (which certainly has happened) took place somewhere thereafter. This also explains, why your home pgy test was negative first and only the HCG positive later.
2. Most of the miscarriages are of genetic origin. You had an embrionic sac (probably not yolk sac) which was empty: no embryo in it. This is clearly a genetic defect, not hormonal.
