Maria, I was diagnosed with PCOS about two years ago and my doctor immediately put me on Dianette. It was the worst thing I could have possibly done, and one of the biggest regrets in my entire life. Whilst it helped my symptoms, when I came off it they came back, only ten times worse. The pill can actually make insulin resistance worse, which means when I stopped taking it, I had nothing to help counteract the symptoms, and a condition that had now stepped up a notch. The longer you are on it, the worse it will be when you come off. I say stop this very second.

The best way of controlling PCOS is with an insulin sensitizing drug and/or exercise.
