Hi,

I also suffered from recurring, worsening migraines when my metformin dose was too high. It is mild hypoglycemia. Try reducing her dose to 1250mg or 1000mg and see if the migraines go away. If not, then it could be the bcp. You only have to reduce the metformin for one week, she'll know within a few days if that works. My headaches were gone after one week. Now I stay on a lower dose and feel much better. Hope that helps.
