Hi,

You might want to see a reproductive endocrinologist because you've been trying for longer than 1 year to get pregnant. They would do bloodwork and check everything needed. Then go from there. Good luck! It sound like you do have PCOS, and you might want to search for Metformin, different diet styles and exercise on here and in the archives. The general PCOS forum might help too. I'd look to getting a definitive diagnosis and then see what needs to be done from there.

Hi, I just found this site and it looks as if there hasn't been any postings for a year on here so I am not even sure that anyone will see this... I am 24 I haven't had a period since I was 14 I went to a doctor about 6yrs ago and all they said was that I needed to lose weight. They didn't test me for anything at all.Well in 2001 I ending up going into the hospital for pain I almost passed out.I was in there for 6 hours they found that I had many small cysts on both of my ovarys and they may be the cause to my pain. They said to go to a gyn and have them look at it. I did she did a biopsy and that was the most pain I have ever be in ever!!! She made the comment that my cervic was sealed closed??? What what what.... What was it caused from she never said anything else of it...She gave me shots to numb me my whole body was shaking I was in so much pain. When she was done she didn't warn me of any bleeding of any kind when I got up there was blood every where. I could hardly stand I felt like I was going to pass out still shaking and everything. I just stuffed my pants with 4 or 5 of the paper blankets that you put over your lap. I bleed for like 15-20 days. I was so scared. It finally stopped then she had me take provera to jump start my period I think it was for 1-2 wks I was to take it well the whole time I took it I bleed....but once I stopped taken it I never had my period again,I am so scared to even step foot into the doctors office. Then recently I have been looking on the internet to see what the hell is wrong with me?? Well I think that I have PCOS. I am even more scared because now me and my husband really want a child...We have been together for 10yrs and never got pregnant no period = no baby. So I am infertile....I have face and body hair, cycst on my ovarys still having the pain!! MASSIVE weight gain...I did lost my period before I gained the weight so it wasn't the weight gain that is causing this.I believe that it had something to do with the Birth Control Pill my mother put me on when I met my husband. I wasn't taken it everyday or even at the same time and sometimes even took it twice in one day if I missed it.I was normal with my period before the Pill. Once I stopped taking it 10yrs ago I stopped having my period.Well finally I decided to go to a OBGYN I took tons of info on PCOS with me I had my first appointment Jan 14,03 and she said she hasn't really seen much of this. I had a list of blood test that I saw on a web site they said I should be tested on to see if I have it. She was really nice and listened to me so she sent me to the lab for the test. I have another appointment Jan 28,03 to talk about the results and to get a pelvic exam and an annual and breast exam I hope that I do have PCOS so that I can say I know what is wrong with me. I just hope that it hasn't already gone to far and that I still can have a child I will be so devastated if I can't. Is there any advise on what all I should do? Please anyone if you have any answers I would much so appreciate it thanks
