Metformin and Migraines?

I just was diagnosed with PCOS (after about 5 yrs of suffering). My doc put me on Metformin, and told me to start with just 1 tablet a day for a week and then slowly increase to 3 a day. I started the once a day thing and have been getting terrible migraine headaches the last two days. Is this related? Should I be concerned? Could it be because I had not switched my diet? Today I definately am!!!!!! Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated!
