Re: Dark patches of skinFrom: Becky (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 14 Jan 2003 10:32:10 -0500
I ALSO have the dark patches of skin. My endo. said it was from the insulin resistance often associated with PCOS. He started me on Metformin in November, by December the patches were almost invisible. I would go see an endo. They have really shed some bright lights on what my body is doing! I have them on my neck, under my breasts, on my hands and arms and legs. I use to scrub my neck wondering why it wouldn't go away. Glad to know I'm not alone. Jessica

I don't have cysts inside of my thighs, but I do have pimples...more like blackheads, and have found nothing to get rid of them. I also have the dark patches on my abdomin, the lower part of the apron that sits on my thighs when I sit. I know...too much info...lol...just thought I would let you know, you are not alone. Colette
