Hi Heidi,

from what I have read there are few drugs (other than cytotoxic - cancer drugs) that are totally prohibited during breastfeeding. The caveat is that the benefits must outweigh the risks. As you took glucophage all during pregnancy, with no problem, I believe that there should be no problem taking it during breastfeeding. And a healthy and happy mother = a healthy and happy baby. Just take the minimum dose that you feel good at. And supplement this with a healthy diet and whatever exercise you, as a new mum, can manage.
