Hi - You asked about Metamorphin.. Well I was prescribed "Glucophage" which is the same thing, a generic of Metam.. I took 3 - 4 pills a day and I am NOT insulin resistant. My GYN gave it to me to help w/ weight loss, hairgrowth and regular periods because of Polystic Ovarian Disease. He told me, if the Pharmacist asks, just tell him you are Insulin Resistant.. He specialized.. (MY GYN) in fertility drugs and also said it will help with getting pregnant. I have ONE ovary..and have always been told no kids.. Guess what? In three months, my periods became regular , in four months I was pregnant using protection with one ovary.. I couldnt believe it. I recommend it.. but dont just start taking a large dose, you have to work you way up, talk to your GYN
