Anonymous,
Thanks for your positive story. I pulled out all the positive things that happened, and that is so GREAT to see someone getting
some success! The long post was excellent because it hits about every area that we could want improvements in and people need to
know those. Congratulations!

I just wanted to to tell you that there is hope.
It made up for it by giving me the fabulous man who I have been married to for nearly 18 years. He has been so supportive and
never made me feel anything less than feminine. I changed doctors recently and finally have been given some treatment
options. Knowing that I had to find a new way of eating that I could stick with for the rest of my life, I read every low carb
book I could find. The one that I chose to go by was The Carbohydrate Addicts Diet. It goes against what I hear regarding the
need to spread your carbs evenly throughout the day but it is working for me. All of the cravings are gone and
for the first time in my life I know what it feels like to become full on normal sized portions and actually stay satisfied for
4-5 hours. I started this diet before I started on the Metformin and noticed a difference right away in how my clothes were
fitting. I have been on Metformin for 5 weeks and the low carb regime for about 7 weeks. I have gone from a size 24 to an 18
and I feel great. I have been monitoring my basal body temps and the chart shows I ovulated last month (husband out of town
working so no chance of baby.) My hair has stopped falling out and I feel much better other than the minor diarreah that is a
side effect of the medication. I have just added 30 minutes of dancing in my living room to my daily routine and that makes me
feel even better. Whoops, I didn't mean to write a short novel but it feels good to talk about it. Good luck to you and please
try to stop being hard on yourself.
