Hi,

After the 13+ miler this morning, I wanted to go for the comments.

L.J., to a point, I wouldn't worry about what other people think about your weight. I'm overweight, I work out 2x a week doing weights at the local gym and no one gives me any trouble. I'm in the local running club, and though I only run/racewalk on the smaller races (mostly racewalk on the longer ones) and am the biggest one there most of the time, I don't feel that I'm in a 3 ring circus act. Hey if I am, I'm the star of the show you know? :)

Improvements may not come quickly, they may be slow, or you may gain weight or not lose anything if you put on muscle (boy can I attest to that one). What matters most is that you find something that can help you become healthier, something you can enjoy, something you can live with. Metformin may help, low carbing might help (which can be anywhere from 40 to 150 carbs). Drinking more water may help also. Just don't let anyone convince you that because you are 'on stage' is not a reason to stop working on your health, ok?

This is me. Since being told that I have PCOS, and hypothyroidism, I feel that I am in some 3 ring circus act. Will metformin help? And the diet? Can anyone shed some light on something that will help with weight loss. I have heard low carbs but how many in a day? Thanks for the help!!!!!

L. J.
