sample email if you plan to Email doctors...From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 14 Dec 2002 00:48:35 -0600 (CST)
Here's what I wrote to all of the R.E's that I contacted: If you want to use it to help you write any email, in trying to find an R.E. Dear Dr. - I found your name on the Society for Reproductive Endocrinolgoyand Infertility website. I am interested in coming to you for my care. I am 30 years old, I was diagnosed w/ PCOS last year. My only current source of treatment has been my OBGYN. While he is a nice man, he doesn't seem to know as much about PCOS as I would like. All he wants is to do Birth Control Pills and Clomid. I am in need of some help, as a future pregnancy is our goal. My basic question for you, before coming for a consultation would be, what types of medications/treatments do you normally prescribe to help treat PCOS before a person has to resort to Clomid or IVF? I am not Insulin Resistant, to the best of my knowledge, but have read of great successes for PCO women using Glucophage XR. Do you agree with such treatment? I appreciate your time and any response you may have. Sincerely,
-- Amy (last name witheld) Whittier, Ca
