Hello everyone!

Well, my new best PCOS friend, Clara told me to post and let you all know what I am doing and what is going on. Ok, so I was diagnosed in November of 2001. Second opinion confirmed it in April 2002 (both done by OBGYN's). Asked OB for Glucophage earlier this week. He told me that there was NO evidence that it works, yeah, ok? whatever! (sorry for those of you who have read about me before, I am ALMOST done repeating this part of the story). Ok, so anyway, I am like, I don't think you are right. I set out to find an R.E. I went to the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology site ( I will look up address at another time to give to you, can't find it now, you could search on Yahoo!) Found THREE in my general area w/ E-MAIL addresses! I wrote DIRECTLY to the Dr.'s Two responded. One just gave me his office number and said to say that he approved the appt. The other said that he agreed w/ the use of GLucophage and that he would call me. Well, I couldn't stand it, so I called to make an appt. Then, I got to talk to him on the phone. He was so COOL. He thinks that maybe I don't have PCOS, due to the fact that I have been getting my period for a few months off of B/C. So, we will see on 12/23! So, I will let you all know. IF anyone is looking for an RE in southern cal area, the one that I found is Dr. Mark Rispler, in Torrance. Sounds like a great guy, I'll lt you know what happens...He thinks maybe I only need to lose weight..God, wouldn't that be great? Well, it would be great if I could lose weight anyway....Thanks for reading, AMY
