questions about ortho tri cyclen and being pregnantFrom: danielle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 11 Dec 2002 13:37:41 -0600 (CST)
hello, my name is danielle and i'm 16 years old. I'm on ortho tri-cyclen. 2-3 months ago I lost my virginity. This month i started expeirencing a brownish colored dishcharge, it doesn't smell and i have no pain from it. I thought it would be the beginning of my period, but i only get the discharge for a few hours a day. I took my pills up to the 15 day in the pack, and my friend told me to skip right to the green pills and it would stop and i would get my period. Well i skipped right to the green pills, and the discharge did stop, but i didn't get my period. I don't know when my period normally comes because i usually skip the green pills each month to prevent getting my period, because even being on the pill, i still expeirence cramps and my periods usually last for 2-3 weeks. My questions are... 1) Could I be pregnant? (we had no condom breaks or anything like that) 2) What is the brownish discharge? What can i do to get rid of it? 3) Should i continue taking the green pills or start a new pack? 4) Should I see my doctor? If you could answer these questions it would be greatly appreciated.
