As for your 15y olod: she may have PCOS, but I doubt if it can be diagnosed as early as that. Not only desogestrel containing BCPs, but all can increase insuloin rsistance, therefore I am against prscribing them for PCOS, the only partial exception is Diane (and Yasmin) both being antiandrogen. Still I would hesitate to prescribe them for a 15 yo, and definitely not befor a complete endocrinologic exam. For your info
