I have 2 recently diagnosed...20 yr old waiting to see endocrinologist this month...currently on no meds except for thyroid. 15 year old diagnosed in Oct. Pediatrician.(endo's office said they don't see anyone under 16) put her on BCP..Marvelon 28 I just read something about triphasic's not good for pcos and then read the study further and it mentioned that a combined pill of desogestrel and ethinylestradiol...can lead to increased IR.....Marvelon is one of those types My question is do I start her on them? she has had a GTT...GP said her results were normal but haven't seen the numbers yet.. I am also afraid of the BCP just masking the symptoms and causing further damage.. thankyou for your help
