Hi,

History: age of 19 irregularity in menstrual cycle. It was found for one year. Diagonized as Polycystic Ovaries. Later again at the age of 24. Taken homeopathic treatment, became regular. After marraige at the age of 26 found to be irregular again, was on hormones such as Sysron, Duphaston and finally Primolut-N for 9 months variangly. Regular scanning was done every 3 months. All through the intake of hormones, cycles were 28 days gap and lasted for four days maximum (Normal flow with less abdomen discomfort and pain). A break in intake of the hormones resulting in missing of two cycles.

Present problem:After missing 2 consecutive cycles, bleeding started and persisted for a month, was advised by the doctor to take Duphaston (5 mg) 3 times a day for 12 days. After performing trans vaginal scanning. The 3rd day bleeding seized. On the 10th day bleeding reoccurs as advised to take Clomid (50 mg) 1 tablet a day for 5 days on the onset of the period.6th day bleeding continues (abdominal discomfort and heavy flow)

Question: Is it normal to stop bleeding after intake of Duphaston and start a period by the tenth day. What do I do if the bleeding continues beyond sixth day. I can not make out if this is a regular period or just bleeding. Please advice.
