My doctor said that studies are now showing that through the first trimester women should stay on Glucophage. It is helping to hold the pregnancy, to avoid miscarriages, which happens more frequently to PCOS women than others. Hope this helps. If need be, I could get you my doctor's name, if your doctor disagrees with the idea.
