Strange symptoms on MetFrom: Shana (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 10 Nov 2002 22:44:17 -0600 (CST)
I have been on Met for about three months now. I started out on 500mg/daily and then increased to 1000mg six weeks later. 1 1/2 weeks ago I increased to 1500 (without the consent of my dr) and had some strange symptoms that I wondered if anyone has had as well. I am so fatigued that I am almost unable to get out of bed when I wake up. My breasts have become tender, I am nauseous, and my face is so oily like I've rubbed olive oil all over it. These are similar to the symptoms I had when I was pregnant [lost at 3 mo.] but I am not preg. (on my period). Also, since I began taking Met, I have had really light periods with a lot of brown discharge rather than red blood for long periods of time. There seems to only be a weeks or two between these "periods". Has anyone experienced this? I would appreciate anyones feedback. Thanks. -SMP P.S. I realize I was over-eager to increase my dosage without my dr. consent, and have dropped down to the originally prescribed dosage. Symptoms have seemed to lessen.
