Reply: Jeanine: "Re: Glucophage?" Hi. I was dxed with PCOS because my hormones were messed up and because of symptoms. I was put on BCPs and aldactone. After 2 yrs on this, my dr finally was thinking insulin resistance because of inability to lose weight and blood pressure getting high. She put me on Glucophage XR 1000mg. The dr as well as myself are prettysure I have insulin resistance but I'm wondering if I don't if taking the medicine will be bad.
