Don't take her back to that horrible person! I am so sorry for her...she needs a good endocrinologist who will not say such demeaning and painful things to her. I would make a complaint to the local medical board...this is not an effective treatment for your daughter and the doc completely ignored her current efforts. Obviously the doc's recommendations did not work, and that should inspire this doc to find new options for your daughter -- not cause her to belittle and condemn her. Shame on that doctor.

Please tell your daughter that we all feel for her and are appalled at the doctors treatment. Please tell her that we all agree that her doc is nuts, and this is not the way to treat pcos.

She may find a lot of help and information from the PCOS teen website, they have a chat room and message board just for teens to share their stories and helpful suggestions.

Your on the right track, she does need to see a reputable endocrinologist. Many of us have had good luck with reproductive endo's -- they will see her even if she does not want to become pregnant.

Please let us know how she is doing.

luck, SusieQ
