Hi I hope you get this. I'm 22 years old and I'm beginning to wonder if metformin (glucophage being the brand name) does cause hair loss. I've been on it for 7 years now and I have been experiencing hair loss for close to that number of years. I've always attributed it to other things and I was also diagnosed with PCOS and was put on medication that was suppose to decrease the hair loss for about a year now but that hasn't done anything either. I really want to know if it's the metformin because this is a really distressing situation.
