Hi there

I feel a lot better for taking Metformin, more awake and much better with the concentration and it brought my periods back after 2 years without any. Having said that it does take a while to work, I didnt lose weight at first but gradually it started to come off after a couple of months. I have been taking it for 6 months (850mg twice a day) and I have lost 14 lbs in the last month without a great deal of lifestyle effort on my part. I think it is effective as I run out in September and didnt take it for about a week and then I missed a period like the bad old days.

My advice is stick with it, it could be that you are not on the right dose and need some blood tests to check if it is working for you.
