Hi Dana-- I didn't have a period after I took clomid (actually got pg at 100 mg), but I'm told by my RE that cramping is an indicator of ovulation, or at least, a sign that the hormone levels are where they should be to induce ovulation. I hope that's some level of comfort to you. Your RE can do a blood draw around day 20 or 21 of your cycle to test your progesterone levels, and that's also a pretty accurate marker of whether or not you've ovulated.
