I amm looking for the same answers I have just started the metformin and have only been on it for 4days it has brought down a cycle but the abdominal pain is almost unbearable even as I type this response, I am looking for answers. I decided that if it does not subside within the next hour of me taking tylenol I am going to the hospital. It is excruciating on my lower left side and it makes you paranoid because I compare it to labor pains or if something is going to burst!! I know this cannot be a good thing and if so what is going on that causes these types of abdominal cramps....
