Anyone had problems with Yasmin and insomnia?

Hi everyone,

I've had PCOS for a while but was uneasy about starting treatment on it for a few years. I have a really busy schedule and knew from an experience in highschool with the pill, that I might get some nasty side effects. Anyway, I know that Yasmin is a new type of pill - so I started taking it about 1 week ago. For the first few days, no problem. (Keep in mind I'm also taking it with 100mg/day of Spironolactone, which I've been on for years). Anyway, a few days ago I started having some restless nights of sleep. Also an extremely dry mouth which I attributed to the extra dose of spironolactone which is found in Yasmin. It's currently 5 am and I've been up for hours...so last night: no sleep. Is this happening to anyone else? The only other additional side effect I've gotten is nausea during the day. Please do tell me if anyone's been feeling similar effects...what a nightmare, no pun intended.

My doctor is also going to start me on Metformin in a month or so which, after reading all these side-effect posts, terrifies me. But alas, not much I can do.

Thanks, Dina
