Glucophage treatmentsFrom: KIM (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 20 Oct 2002 08:34:53 -0500 (CDT)
I have a question. I just started taking glucophage and I am suppossed to take 500 mg in the morning and 500 mg at night for one week and then up the dose to 500mg in morning and 1000 mg at night for a week and then 1000mg in the morning and 1000mg at night. I am struggling with the side effects with just taking 1000mg a day. I have alot of cramping in my stomach and some weird sharp pains that move from my back to my stomach and sometimes down my leg. I also feel dizzy alot. Has anyone had similar experiences with glucophage and did they go away as you increased your dose? Has anyone had any luck regaining their cycles and going on to get pregnant with just 1000 mg a day? I am thinking of asking my doctor if I can just stick with 1000 mg a day for awhile. Thank you for any information you may have...
