Hi, I've had PCOS for about 11 years now. I'm about to turn 31 years old and I'm at the point in my life where I want to get pregnant. I've seen different doctors, fertility specialists etc. but at the time I wasn't ready to go through with everything that was involved. I was hoping that I could help myself by watching my diet, trying to lose weight, exercising; I've even stopped drinking soda all together. It seems to be helping. I've been feeling better, I have dropped a little weight and I've actually been getting periods every month. What I'd like to know is, does Glucophage work? I've been reading so many articles that state that glucophage/metformin helps the ovulation process and that many women have actually conceived after taking it. I want to see my Ob/gyn and have her prescribe it to me. What sort of side effects are we talking about? Is it worth it? I never realized how many women are affected by PCOS. I always felt like I was alone because no one I know has this. But now I know, I'm not alone. We're all going through the same thing. If anyone would like a chat buddy, I sure could use one. Thanks for the help. God Bless you All!
