Re: Daughter with PCOS

I was diagnosed at an early age also. If she is not planning pregnancy at this time I would suggest that she stay on BC Pills for the time being. For her symptoms they placed me on meds to help with the symptoms of PCOS...for example spironolactone helps with the new hair growth. Synthroid for the thyroid problems and she needs something for her high blood pressure. The depression will correct itself when she starts feeling better. Please tell her that even though she might not see the results immediately. Exercize will help lower her testosterone levels and will help with the hair also. but more than anything it will help her feel good about herself and she might even drop a pound or two. Best of luck.
