Hello Ladies,

I am 38 and was diagnosed with PCOS at age 17. I wasn't given much information except to go on a diet, preferably Weight Watchers. I did go on a diet called OverEaters Anonymous and was successful in losing 33 pounds... but of course as time went by the weight came back and passed the original weight. I just gave up and decided that this is the way I am going to be and so I should accept it and me and just get on with my life. Well, I am married now and am concerned once again with the PCOS because eventually I would like to become pregnant. Through luck I found a wonderful OB/GYN who specializes in infertility. Finally! someone told me what was going on in my body. I found out that what was going on had a name and it was called Insulin Resistance. Through research I came across a book called the Insulin-Resistant Diet... and it is a diet specifically geared for people that suffer with the symptoms of Insulin-Resistance. I started the diet at 225 pounds and three weeks later I am 219 pounds! I screamed when I saw 219 on the scale... it's been a long time since I've seen anything below 220! Ladies, please give this book a read and a try... you will see results. It's not a diet... rather it's feeding an insulin-resistant body the way it should be fed. I purchased the book from Barnes and Noble but you can also get it from Amazon.com or ask your favorite book store to special order it! Try it! You have nothing to lose... but weight! :-)
