If you are addicted, NO. Vicodin and other narcotics do make it in to breastmilk, but if you're taking it as prescribed, then it's a very small amount and will simply make the baby sleepy. It will have no other effects. I took it briefly after my c-section and 6 weeks later when I had my gallbladder out--both times I was nursing and had no adverse effects on my son.
