Pat this is what i did for my daughterFrom: Melissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 23 Sep 2002 17:29:09 -0500 (CDT)
I have been reading how the gluogaphage makes everyone sick and gives them diarrea so instead of having Autumn start out with the 500 mg i have been having her break it and let her body get used to the 250 for about a week then we will up it this weekend to the whole 500 that way she will be at home if she needs to be and not int he middle of a class.((every 16--(17 tomorrow) year olds night mare LOL) so far she has felt fine her only complaint is that she has to pee "ALOT" as she puts it. -- My 16 year old daughter has been diagnoised with pco. she has been on bcp for the past year and the very first set of bcp worked great she had energy and was losing weight and breezed through her periods well dr decided they were to strong for her and changed them. so for the last 6 months it has been heck.she is over weight but does not eat much (i finially made the dr understand that. this is when she said OH my gosh i know what she has) they did the blood test today so we are waiting for the results of those. my mother, both of my inlaws and her dad are diabetics. I had t have hyst at 27 due to sever cramps and cyst on overies. I need to know how to help my daughter and what she needs to know in dealing with this. Thanks to anyone who can help us. Melissa
