At least with pharmaceuticals, the compounds go through rigorous testing before hitting the market (my husband works in pharmaceutical research), but there is NO regulation over the "herbal" market whatsoever. We've discussed it several times in the past on this board--just because it's "natural" doesn't mean it's safe--Renee (I think) often says that hemlock and poison dart tree frogs are both "natural," but both will kill you quickly. Do your research, make a decision, but make an informed decision and talk to your RE about it. Please don't try to treat your condition yourself.
