Sanj,

There is another online information/support group for PCOS. They are starting "local" chapters in many countries....including CANADA! I checked out the Canadian chapters and yes, there is a Toronto contact! Here's the webpage with the information....and also the contact information you might want.

I live in Indiana, USA, and we have a chapter that meets about once a month in mid-state...which is Indianapolis. There are a lot of women in the chapter who live locally, but there are many of us scattered about the state within a few hours' drive of the meeting places. Being 2 - 2 1/2 hours away, I've only made it to a couple of the meetings, but it was fantastic to walk into a room full of women "just like ME!". We were all dealing with the same issues, mostly. A few women aren't burdened with the excess weight problem of PCOS, but one of our expert speakers had informed us that these thinner Cysters have a somewhat different set of risk factors that we "fluffier" gals don't have.....either way, it's a struggle for us all.

Does anyone know of any PCOS support groups in the Toronto (canada) area?? I would really like to participate in one because I think it might help me just to talk about these problems I am going thru.
