I have been on aldactone the brand name for 3 years. It is a mineral and potassium sparing diaretic and also lowers blood pressure. It lowers androgens. It has not stopped facial hair for me. It has made me not have to shave my legs, under arms and I have lost pubic hair. Unfortunately I still have lots of facial hair.
