It takes $ to run trials, we have to have people to sponsor the trials, enough researchers to set up the protocols, etc. Gotta get from point A to B to C. :) Also, remember some of the debacles that have occured because of pushing drugs through so quickly. Rezulin would be the first. The FDA website would have more.
