Hey there,

I am not a dr. or anything but if I were you I would just stay on the dosage until more tests are done. At first I was on a low dosage of Metformin HCL (500mg 3 x /day) and when I went back to my doc. he put me on the same med. but 1000mg 2x/day. And it seems to be a better dosage for me. If the dosage is too low for you, your dr. will know by your tests results. Thats how my dr. figured out I needed more Met.

hope this helps!
