A hysterectomy won't help your PCOS at all. The problem most likely stems from insulin resistance (though there are some that don't agree). If you want to have a hysterectomy and oopherectomy (ovaries too) for cancer prevention, that's a different issue, and I don't have any input on that. I just wanted to let you know that you won't see any improvement in your PCOS from it. Plus, it means that you have to be on hormones the rest of your life, no matter why you remove it.

Try reducing your carbohydrate intake. That helps many of us to control our symptoms. Also, many of us take Metformin/Glucophage, with success. Go to http://www.pcosupport.org for a lot of information, including booklets to download on various concerns.
