I feel so much better on the glucophage XR than on metformin(generic glucophage) !!!! I take my pills at night with dinner. I take them in the middle of dinner, not after. I do feel nausous in the morning, but I am better after I eat something or drink some milk. Nothing compared to how I felt on Metformin. I got very shakey on the regular metformin. It sounds like you may need to eat something . Also make sure that you drink plenty of fluids while on glucophage.
