> From: cnmpat@attbi.com (Pat) Pat, The issue I brought up is that officially it has never been subjected to testing such as in the manner as other prescription drugs, and its efficacy and side effects can't be known officially. The fact the FDA has gone after companies for promoting something like a drug that has claims to cure or the like is a fact. What your experience was and what your patients are has no bearing on that particular issue. As for reputable texts, are they in Pubmed? What testing has it been subjected to that follows scientific method? I've seen people post 'studies' before, one just recently on the women's health list. After examining it, the flaws in it were tremendous and could not establish any reliable data. Yes people have a right to choose. I also think they have a right to know some of the side issues concerning drugs that have never been tested and depending on promotion: illegal. That's what I don't see getting promoted. Even with natural progesterone that started all this on the other lists, people have complained about problems, but they won't do it publically.
