Re: EndocrinologistFrom: Dana (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 10 Aug 2002 15:28:13 -0700 (PDT)
An endo is a metabolism doctor,. Sometimes pituitar glands have benign tumors that cause metabolical problems including thyroid. It's all part of the pcos work-up. Endogrinologists are supposed to help the symptoms, I have had no luck yet...still gaining and suffering terribly. Dana Michelle wrote:Has anyone seen an endocrinologist? What help did they receive. I have just been referred to an endocrinologist because i had an MRI scan of my pituitary gland. If you have PCOS - would it show up as a pituitary problem on an MRI scan? My blood tests show my LH reading went up from 3.6 to 5.2 what do these values mean? What are average values? My testosterone levels went up from 2.1 to 3.4 in the same 3 month time period. Thanks Dreams and mistakes are the only thing we can call our own. Correct your mistakes, never give up on your dreams. Most important...trust God... I pray for my empty arms to be filled with a bundle of joy. What a Blessing that will be.
