Hi all, I've got a question. I've been on 2000mg of Metformin for about 3 months now. Lately I've started to have achy, sore, swollen breasts during the pre-ovulatory part of my cycle. Has anyone else experienced this? About a year ago my doctor commented on the possibility of fibro-cystic breast disease on examination. At the time we decided to look into it later because we were in the midst of trying to get a diagnosis of PCOS and thyroid problems. So my second question would be is pre-ovulatory breast pain part of fibro-cystic breast disease? I've only experienced the pain during the early part of my cycle since starting the metformin.
