I had also been on birth control pills for a VERY long time. Have you been to a hematologist? I had genetic testing done to see if I inherited this from my father. He has has two DVTs and one PE. I have taken Provera for my periods. You CANNOT EVER take estrogen again. I go to a reproductive endocrinologist and she has given provera to me. You do need to get on something that will help to shed the lining of your uterus. The birth control pills were the only thing helping to prevent uterine cancer. So...needless to say, I have been pursuing other options to help myself. PLEASE seed out an endocrinologist or someone else to help.
