Hi Emma,
First of all your cycle should be regulated. If you are not overweight, not hirsute, than PCOS is questionable. This should be tested for too.
As of colposcopy: it is only an examination (kind of low power microscopy of the cervix) so it won't seal anything. If they perform cautery, it can destroy the abnormal cells that cause the bleeding after intercourse. I am sorry to diappoint you, but it won't stop the pain.
