Re: differences of two seperate kinds of necon? From: Pat (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 27 Jul 2002 12:26:31 -0500 (CDT)
I agee with the others. Though I am not familiar with this particular brand (Necon). There is a significant variation in these two. the .5/35 is a much lower dosage, and very appropriate. And it sounds like this has been fine for you. the 1/50 is a much higher dosate, and most likely you would have problems. Please first check with your pharmacist, to see if the error was in creating the prescription. The pharmacisit should have your original prescription, and this renewal. I it is his/her error, you should not have to pay for this pill, but rather get the correct one. If the error came from your health care provider, then clafity the prescription with them. Do not start taking these pills, althought they are stronger and not weaker than what you are taking, so it won't hurt you, but you don't need that high a dosage. The 1/50s are rarelly used these days, as the lower dosages are just as effective, with less side effects.
