Hi Steph,
Many women do stay on glucophage for the duration of their pregnancy.
However there are not clear guidelines to stay on or not to stay on.
Glucophage is used with diabetics during pregnancy. Given the you are a
type II diabetic already, I would consider that excellent control of the
diabetes during pregnancy is essential for both your and your baby's
health, and the fact that your Obgyne is supportive would mean that you
should probably stay on it. Of course close attention to diet is also
required. The only recommendation is that you take folic acid
supplement (if you are not already).
Congratulations on your pregnancy and best wishes.
