Hi Renee,
I have suggested this as a test only, not as a measure to counteract hypoglycaemia. it is also accepted in diabetic patients if they get unconsciuos. You give an iv. injection of sugar. If they recover, it is hypoglycaemia. Naturally this was before the era of home blood sugar testers.
