Re: folic acid dosage for dr samFrom: =?iso-8859-2?q?Zalányi Sámuel ?= (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 10 Jul 2002 15:14:35 +0200
Hi Teresa, I asked this question specifically, because I know some drs think more is better. This is not the case. Folic acid is water soluble and anything that is more than the daily consumption is pissed out. 800 mcg (0,8 mg) folic acid is proved to reduce the risk of neural tube defects but more does not reduce this risk further, it's just wasting the substance. For your info Sam
