> I'm just wondering do I think you should discuss insulin resistance and its link to PCOS with your doctor. You should tell your doctor that you want a treatment that will not only alleviate your symptoms (that seems to be her idea of success). Tell her you have a different goal: to treat the underlying cause of your syndrome whether you are experiencing symptoms while taking Dianette or not. I am not a doctor. There's lots of stuff I don't know. I'm just some guy who loves a woman who suffers from the same thing. I'm suspicious than any birth control pill is the best treatment for PCOS, though.
> realy i suppose I'm wondering how serious is Dianette, i'm from Ireland I don't know what you mean by "serious." A resource on medications that I find useful is http://www.rxlist.com. Having a lack of info is definitely bad, IMO. Why should Ireland as a nation have poor access to info on medication? Are you sure that it's not just your doctor? Some doctors are old-fashioned and think that they know best for the patient, the patient shouldn't really have a say, and the patient doesn't need to know very much about her treatments. I don't find doctors like that very helpful.
