birth control pills do not cause an increase in diabetes (and this latest one mentions . Can you tell me how it causes higher uterine cancer rates?

I was responding to a writer who indicated her doctor had prescribed her Dianette as the sole medication for PCOS. I was observing that since Dianette only masks the symptoms and doesn't treat the underlying syndrome, it does nothing to lessen your risk as a PCOS sufferer of developing type II diabetes and uterine cancer.

I didn't suggest that Dianette itself increases the chances of developing these things. I hope this clarification has addressed the misunderstanding.

chances of getting diabetes at 31%. Diet and exercise did 58%. So it doesn't have to be Glucophage, it can be any combination of things.

I think Glucophage combined with diet and exercise is the best treatment for PCOS. I have never suggested that Glucophage should be the sole treatment for PCOS. My advocacy of Glucophage in this specific case is that Dianette should not be the primary drug prescribed to treat PCOS; that should be Glucophage. Dianette might be appropriate alongside Glucophage, and of course a proper diet and reasonable exercise regimen.
